Textual Language 1

In a 7th grade reading class we had to pick a hero from history. We then either had to find a story about that hero or a speech or sermon. It may seem ironic for the hero I chose. but you will shortly understand why.

I watched the sermon of Martin Luther King. Jr. - I have a dream. I watched the replay of his speech on television on Martin Luther King Day. It was so inspiring to me.

I was amazed with how he had the courage to stand up against all odds and fight for what he believed was write. He was attempting to make a difference and change the world for the better. He was trying to change peoples lives so that all could live equally. He was one man making a difference in the world. From that day on, my goal in life was to somehow influence the world , to help better it, or make someone's life better. Through becoming a teacher, I have this opportunity. And when things get tuff, I always remember Martin Luther King, Jr.

Below I have inserted a video of his speech - when I decided he was considered a hero to me.

Video will be inserted tomorrow.
